What I am all about…

SAHM of four crazy, funny, energetic kids and wife of the greatest man I have ever known! And we have been together since we were 14! We started our family young (16 years old) but have defeated all the odds and proved the statistics WRONG. We are very blessed in our life…a healthy family and a happy home. Our road was bumpy (and still can be) but with great sacrifice and hard work (and a pinch of my stubbornness) we are making it and in the process creating an amazing family that grows stronger and stronger everyday.

I wrote this awhile back for my Facebook profile and decided to put it on my blog because it is the best description of myself that I have ever come up with:

I am a ‘roots’ kind of girl and I take great pleasure in the comforts of home and family. I am maternal, domestic and love to nurture others. I adore having a large family — the more the merrier!! Traditions are upheld with great zest in my household, since I prize family history and love communal activities. My good memory is basis for great stories told around the dinner table with friends & family! I am most happy when my home is harmonious and serene. If I get a little crabby I have been known to retreat into my shell & the flip side to this is that I tend to have difficulty sharing my feelings. In the end I always come back out of my shell (just give me time). I am tenacious and strong willed and with that said I am ultimately motivated by protecting my home and loved ones, my most noble goal. I sometimes find that a robust workout is just the tonic for my touchy feelings. I still have a tendency to be a little lazy, however, I just need a little push to get me out the door because I am a bit of a homebody! I usually prefer to stay in rather than go out on the town…but once I do I am the spice in the jalapeno!! My greatest strength is the tenacity with which I protect my loved ones. I dont ask for much, just a comfortable home and a sense of peace…

And this is US…The Carranza 6Pack!

What a lovely family! I have been with my hubby since we were 15 and I am a homebody too.

Looks like you guys have a similar age gap that we do with our kids. Oldest is going to be 15 this year and our youngest turns 5 just a few weeks before that.

Congrats on a great blog and for your new one as well. You folks have a gorgeous house.
